This filing marks the initial phase of a comprehensive redevelopment initiative, set to encompass nearly 900 apartments in total. The ambitious $400 million project was approved by former Governor Andrew Cuomo to revitalize and reimagine the Kingsboro campus. State funding, announced in 2017, has been earmarked for diverse aspects of the redevelopment plan, including the creation of affordable housing, the establishment of supermarkets, the promotion of urban farming, and the development of public green spaces.
